How long does the battery last?
Continuous recording time: Up to 30 hours. We publish the final figure once we have tested the hardware ourselves.
How much can it store?
Storage: 64 GB (about 480 hours). Recordings move to your phone when it syncs, so the recorder keeps room for the next one.
Which languages does it understand?
Transcription languages: 30+ languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian. The app and this site are available in English, German and French.
Does it work offline?
Recording works fully offline. Transcripts and summaries need a connection to our EU servers, or the Confidential package on your own computer.
Can it record phone calls?
Snap it to the back of your phone and switch to call mode. Only record calls where the law allows it and everyone on the call has agreed.
How does consent work?
A light is on whenever it records. The consent card on your phone tells people what is recorded and why, and you can save their yes with the recording. Asking stays your responsibility.
Where is my data processed?
In the EU. Exact region: Frankfurt, Germany. The recorder sends audio only to the app, never to the device maker's cloud.
Can I delete my recordings?
Yes. Any recording, transcript or summary, at any time, from the app. Retention period: erased within 30 days, backups included.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The recorder comes with the free Starter plan: record, transcribe and summarise, stored on your phone. Paid plans add cloud storage, more minutes and connections.
Do I need the app?
Yes. The recorder works only with the Aulemo app on iPhone, Android or the web. That keeps your audio on one path we control and you can delete.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes: the app runs on iPhone, Android and the web. The magnets hold on phones with built-in magnets; for every other phone there is a magnetic ring in the box.
Does it work with online meetings?
Yes, with meetsme, sold separately. Your video meetings and in-person recordings end up in one timeline.
Is it suitable for doctors, therapists and lawyers?
That's what the planned Confidential package is for: local AI, end-to-end encryption and automatic removal of personal data. Whether it meets your professional duties, such as professional secrecy under § 203 StGB in Germany, is checked with each practice before use. Aulemo is not a medical device.
What warranty do I get?
At least the two-year legal guarantee that applies in the EU.
Can I return it?
Yes. Online purchases in the EU come with a 14-day right of withdrawal.
