Psychology and therapy

Planned Confidential package: session notes drafted on your own computer, so you can stay with your client.

The problem

Writing during a session breaks eye contact and the flow of the conversation. Writing afterwards means reconstructing an hour from memory, often late in the day.

How it works

  1. Before each session, ask your client and save their yes with the consent card. A no is always fine.
  2. Press once. The light stays on while it records, so your client always knows.
  3. With the planned Confidential package, the transcript and a draft session note are made on your own computer, encrypted end to end.
  4. Review the draft, keep what belongs in your notes and delete the recording when you no longer need it.

An example

Jonas, a psychotherapist, asks his client Mia at the start of their session whether he may record for his notes. Mia agrees, and they settle that she can ask him to stop at any point. Jonas keeps his attention on her for the whole hour. Afterwards he reviews a draft note on his own computer and deletes the audio once the note is done.

What you get

  • Eye contact instead of a notepad
  • Session notes drafted, not reconstructed
  • Planned: everything stays on your computer

Consent and privacy

Therapy sessions are among the most sensitive conversations there are: health data and professional secrecy come with special rules, and each practice must check them before use. Consent has to be freely given and can be withdrawn at any time. The Confidential package is planned; this is general information, not legal advice.
